Daniel and Abbe Barfield are owners of Cypress Woods Place and are residents of Oxford, MS. They like the peaceful nature of the property and the close proximity to the fabulous restaurants and entertainment in Oxford. Daniel enjoys the challenges of wooded landscape and the management of the 5 acre lake. He loves to get his "hands dirty" with the long list of outdoor improvement projects to the property. Abbe's favorite part of Cypress Woods Place is the people, she handles the marketing and day-to-day operations. The couple has four children, Cooper, Brennan, Spencer and Adrianna. They look forward to spending time fishing, hiking, canoeing and enjoying the outdoors when they stay at the property. Daniel purchased the property in 2013 as a weekend retreat, along with using the Lake House as a vacation rental home. In 2015, Daniel and Abbe renovated an existing structure on the property into the Lodge, living in the home during the renovation process. After the success of the Lake House as a vacation rental home, they decided to also market the Lodge to guests for rental. This coincided with their decision to move into Oxford, to be closer to their other businesses. In 2017, Daniel and Abbe made it official and were married in the pasture between the Lake House and the Lodge under an arbor Daniel built, surrounded by their children and family.
